Afoko Must Be Kicked Out – Omane Wadie

Greater Accra chairman of Ghana’s largest opposition party, the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Omane Wadie has made a strong advocacy for embattled national chairman, Paul Afoko to be kicked out of the party. According to Mr. Wadie, Paul Afoko must be shown the exit door to restore sanity and peace in the party because his tenure so far has seen nothing but confusion to the party.

In an interview with the former Greater Accra regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Chairman Omane- Wadie lamented about the damages that Mr. Paul Afoko has put the party through, backing the decision of the NEC to suspend him.

He stated strongly that anyone who doesn’t want the progress of the party should be brought to light and this will restore the confidence among the party members.

The National Executive Committee has suspended Mr. Paul Afoko for a myriad of reasons after two leading members of the party filed a petition calling for his suspension.  Before the decision was taken, Mr. Afoko failed to appear on the three occasions that the executives scheduled to meet him.
