Adopt same sex marriage as birth control method-queen mother

A supposed queen mother, believed to be a queen mother for the Nkwatanan under the Akwamu traditional council, Nana Aberewa Kwabi IV has called for the legalization of same sex marriage in Ghana as a traditional birth control method since according to her the rate of population growth in Ghana and the world as a whole is alarming.

The Queen mother made this call over the weekend when she was called to grace a book launch programme in the Akwamu area.

She explained her suggestion is on the basis is that same sex couple cannot give birth and cannot add up to the population in anyway.

But criticisms have come from all angles against the queen mothers’ claim especially from the traditional council of Akwamu.

Nana Afrakoma II the queen mother of the Akwamu traditional council has also passed comment stating it is a big disgrace to our believes and customs as Ghanaians and for a queen mother to suggest such an abomination, she believes she (Nana Aberewa Kwabia) is sick.

She mentioned the Bible even entreats us to give birth to fill up the earth, so why then do we adopt this sinful method to rather control birth.

She cautioned all leaders not to accept such am awful act in our country adding it can bring curse unto our land.

The Adonte hene of Senchi traditional council Nana Oduro Dapaah has also rubbish the queen mothers’ suggestion, saying Ghanaians have had enough from the western world to add up this abomination.

Relating to health, the coordinator for Ghana AIDS commission in the Eastern Region Mrs. Golder Ashanti noted gay sex couples stand the risk of getting HIV even more easily than the normal man to woman sex because of possible  cuts and bleeding  during sex due to lack of lubrication for very smooth penetration.

She therefore cautioned Ghanaians not to embrace such act and advised people already practicing to seek for medical services for protection.
