Three days ago, we killed about 54 and killed 8 yesterday. Although the lights were off last night, we managed to kill one that entered a room in this house, a woman said in her native twi.

Although no snake bites have been recorded so far, residents say they cannot sleep.

I have been living in this town for over forty years and I haven’t seen anything like this, we have been keeping wake for the past three days, another resident indicated.

The invasion, according to the residents started three days ago and peaks between 7:00 and 8:00 pm each night.

The towns are surrounded by forest vegetation from which the residents believe the snakes come.
